hereinevitablyit's been nearly a year since i started playing—and i just hit ar 55—so here is an update on where i'm at gameplay wise (cringe loser tryhard gamer moments incoming):
account basics:
- fl10s: rosaria, bennett, chongyun, hu tao, raiden, xingqiu
- team comps: pre-hu tao fl10, my general go-to was zhongli-flex-xingqiu-hu tao. flex usually being kaeya (vapemelt) or raiden (overvape). i also have the alternative, possibly unconventional, zhongli-raiden-xingqiu-qiqi which is especially fun in situations like the hood/ohc domain (zhongli shield + qiqi insane healing + xingqiu dmg reduction + raiden constant ult battery = suck it corrosion. also superconduct is actually useful for once with qiqi bubble dmg LOL).
goals???:
- level up ayaka talents: lol so i have actually never unlocked azhdaha despite being this far into the game... um. Well you see some of us love hoarding story quests and would hate to see them disappear from the menu...
- properly build kaeya and xiangling instead of just giving them rosaria and hu tao artifact rejects and calling it a day: um uh what can i say. i do play favorites... it's not my fault that kaeya uses the exact talent books as rosie and xiangling uses the same books as hu tao.
- get more refinements for the catch: i fucking hate this weapon
- actually do reputation stuff: bounties are just sooo fucking boring holy shit
- continue building qiqi: people who hate her so vehemently are like... she is just a kid. also i am a huge fan of not dying actually < guy who sucks at the game
- level up all the locked lvl0 artifacts i have: why does everything in this game cost so much fucking mora and also fodder i'm going to kms
- 5*s: qiqi, raiden, diluc (c1 kms), hu tao, zhongli, ayaka
- 4*s: all of them but FUCKING SUCROSE. also i don't have gorou but the more important thing is my SUCROSELESSNESS.

post hu tao + raiden fl10, as well as post my pulling of ayaka circa a few days ago, i've been trying to switch it up a little. experimenting with something like zhongli-yunjin-xingqiu-ayaka which, yeah, has so many points of anti-synergy, but gets the job done. and also, with my continued anemo struggles, double geo core is kind of just a poor man's anemo unit... [slaps roof of my genshin account] this bad boy can fit so much copium inside of it.
for the abyss, things usually get more switched around to meet various floor demands. floor 9 first half is zhongli-rosaria-chongyun-hu tao, second half raiden national. floor 10 first half is zhongli-rosaria-kaeya-hu tao, second half bennett-raiden-xingqiu-chongyun for the abyss lector. floors 11 and 12 are just. Throw shit at a wall. very stupid comps come out... zhongli-rosaria-diona and bennett-raiden-xingqiu-ayaka... i could not get past the 2.6 f11 actually because Zero Crowd Control McGee over here.
character wishlist:
- kazuha: i have genuinely been saving for him for months. like, ever since the zhongli-ganyu rerun banner where, after pulling zhongli, i got diluc c1 on like 30 pity. which on one hand, I Am Hu Tao Main and literally never use diluc, but on the other hand, guaranteed 50/50. so i decided to sit on that guaranteed because kazuha must be coming soon, right? and i didn't have much time to play at that point so it's good that i don't need to go insane farming for wishes right? Right?
and then i yolo pulled ayaka. anyways this man has single-handedly caused me to lose my f2p status because after the reality of having ayaka and no longer being a 50/50 haver sank in, i bought 2 welkin moons. Kazuha Better Come Home
- venti: skipped his banner waiting for kazuha i'm afraid....... my reasoning was that I Only Play Melee Characters and i do still think that kazuha overall would be better for my account but it really is like If i were rich and could spend freely on this gacha game,
- xiao: will also be skipping his banner for kazuha i'm afraid. They keep on putting him right before my must pulls... kms. One day my dreams of owning every single polearm character will be realized. one day
- sucrose: Death and disease and suffering and sickness and twistedness
- jean: please mihoyo i just want more anemo characters
- YELAN or mona or kokomi: i also need more hydro applicators that aren't xingqiu. also yelan insanely sexy... but once again i am skipping for kazuha
- albedo: well i have this problem where sometimes i only want units for one specific team comp and in this case it is double geo vape hu tao. but it would be so good esp with albedo's em buff... also i literally have an r5 cinnabar sitting in my inventory collecting dust
- shenhe: i luv cryo characters urghh arghhh wahhh also she is a polearm user.
- c1 hu tao and also staff of homa: actually my entire genshin experience is just continuously trying to make my hu tao better
- albedo: well i have this problem where sometimes i only want units for one specific team comp and in this case it is double geo vape hu tao. but it would be so good esp with albedo's em buff... also i literally have an r5 cinnabar sitting in my inventory collecting dust

Date: 2022-06-07 01:34 am (UTC)certainly not making fun but it is quite amusing to see hu tao rosaria and zhongli appear so frequently in your team comps like. objectively yes they are good units but also knowing theyre ur favs is like yeah... so true. i see you. also re: not doing story quests on one hand i understand because it is a whole lot of. Do this. talk to this person. kill things. sit through dialogue. but i beg of you........ please at least finish the major story quests you need for boss mats........ think of the dream solvents </3....... nods solemnly though if u ever need anything in genshin i am... haha.... always here. cries in ar58. if you wanna steal resources or hunt down enemies or whatever you are more than welcome. i wish you a very kazuha in the near future

Date: 2022-06-07 02:06 am (UTC)alskjdfklajd it really is like > i like these characters > i hyperinvest into these characters > i use these characters because they are my best units > i like these characters even more from using them so often... also help. i am aware it is just like... part of it is that i don't want to lose the quest if that makes sense esp for the characters i don't have yet. basically what i'm saying is that if mihoyo implemented an ability to rewatch cut scenes i would happily do the story quests. tbf though dream solvents are like? the only thing in the game i have good luck with help i feel like i get them all the time. also thank u <3 finally hit wl8 so if i do ever need anything i will pop in
